How much does asphalt paving cost?
Pricing is driven by square footage, removal and disposal of existing material, required base depth, asphalt thickness and site access. We measure on site and give a written itemized estimate free of charge.
How long does new asphalt take to cure?
The surface is drivable in 48 to 72 hours, but asphalt continues to harden for six to twelve months. Avoid sharp turns while stopped and keep heavy loads off during the first summer.
When should I sealcoat new asphalt?
Wait six to twelve months after installation so the mix can cure, then seal every three to four years for residential and every two years for high-traffic commercial lots.
Can you pave over my existing driveway?
Sometimes. If the base is sound and grades allow the additional height at the garage and street, an overlay works well. If there is alligator cracking or recurring potholes, the base has failed and an overlay would just crack again.
What is the difference between patching and full-depth repair?
Patching fills a surface defect. A full-depth repair saw-cuts the failed area, removes material down to sound base, corrects the base and places new hot mix. Full-depth repairs last; surface patches buy time.
Do you work in winter?
Asphalt plants generally close from late November to April. During winter we handle emergency repairs with cold patch or infrared and schedule spring paving.
How thick should my driveway be?
For typical residential use in New Jersey we place 2 to 3 inches of compacted asphalt over 4 inches of compacted quarry blend. Commercial lots with truck traffic need more of both.
Do you handle drainage issues?
Yes. Grading, catch basins, trench drains and swale work are part of what we do, and we address drainage as part of any paving project where water is causing the failure.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — NJ Home Improvement Contractor registered with general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance are provided on request.
Do you offer warranties?
Every project includes a written workmanship warranty. Terms depend on the scope and are stated in your contract.
How far in advance should I book?
Spring and early summer fill quickly. Booking two to eight weeks ahead is typical during peak season; call in late winter for the best scheduling.
Do you serve commercial properties?
Yes. Parking lots, private roads, apartment complexes, retail centers, industrial yards and municipal work, with night and weekend scheduling available.
